Alex Smith has worked all over the country as an Artist Blacksmith, working on one off projects of all types and sizes for many different clients. He has learnt to apply new and exciting aesthetics to his designs and has accomplished high quality forge work within his bespoke finished pieces.

Chalk Pit Forge, is run within Amberley Museum in Amberley, West Sussex. I work to commission and my clients specifications, making functional and sculptural pieces.  My bespoke service incudes architectural reliefs and friezes, balcony railings, balustrades, bay window curtain rails, canopies, fire baskets & accessories, gates, gazebos, handrails, interior and exterior furniture, juliette balconies, large keys, log burners, land art and earthworks, obelisks, pergolas, railings, restoration, screens and dividers, sculpture, seating, signs, staircases, sundials and weathervanes.
